The IT Services Research Support team, in conjunction with Jisc, is currently running a short survey to look at the development of research databases in UK higher education. They are specifically interested in understanding how researchers themselves construct and use databases to host their own research findings, whether for personal or research group use, or with the intention of providing online access to the public. (They are not interested in the use of existing databases to find information, such as those provided by libraries, publishers, or specialist data repositories.)
The survey takes about five minutes to complete, so if you’re a researcher using a database to manage data that you generate, please head to http://goo.gl/forms/1w1EjU6FAs.
The survey is anonymous and will be used to inform Jisc’s decisions regarding the provision of a national database service developed from Oxford’s Online Research Database Service (ORDS).
