ALT-C is the annual conference of the Association for Learning Technology (ALT), It provides an international platform for finding out about research, practice and policy work in technology-enhanced learning across all educational sectors, and for networking with like-minded academics and learning technologists. The 2016 conference will run from 6th-8th September at the University of Warwick under the umbrella title Connect, Collaborate, Create.
Academic IT Services will be particularly well represented this year: not only will we be able to fill a minibus, we will also be presenting two papers and a poster. The WISE project team will be out in force to present their work with academic units on the redesign of WebLearn sites. WISE team member and experimental psychologist Xav Laurent is preparing a poster on his ideas for neuroscience and technology-enhanced learning. Finally, Liz Masterman and Emma Procter-Legg will draw on their experience of the joinin project to discuss the challenges of evaluating the impact of short-format informal learning opportunities for staff.
The ALT-C conference registration page is now open; the early-bird discount is available until 30 June.
