On Friday 10th March at #OxEngage join experts from around the University and from the Association for Learning Technology (ALT) for a practical workshop to find pragmatic ways to show ‘impact’ from your activity on social media.
Social media can be used for dissemination of research outputs to academic communities, for outreach and public engagement, and for intervening in society. This practical will help you develop a strategy for how you can show evidence of the impact of these. The strategy which will be demonstrated is based on “Engage: Understanding Impact via Social Media” held 16th March 2016. Guest speaker: Martin Hawksey (Chief Innovation, Community and Technology Officer at the Association for Learning Technology (ALT). Martin will talk about how you can combine data from Twitter with Google Analytics.
This is a practical, and you will need to be able to login to one of your accounts, like Twitter. Workshop leaders: Alun Edwards, Academic IT Services, Michaela Livingstone-Banks, MPLS and MSD (and Oxford Sparks), and Jess Turner, Public Affairs Directorate, with guest speaker Martin Hawksey (Chief Innovation, Community and Technology Officer at the Association for Learning Technology (ALT)
