Beyond 2010 -Marianne Talbot

mtalbotWe are delighted to announce that Marianne Talbot will speak  as one of our OER Case Studies from Oxford at the Beyond Borders conference at Oxford on April 20th.   Marianne is a lecturer in philosophy in the University of Oxford Department for Continuing Education, she has become an ItunesU sensation with her  OER lecture podcasts- Philosophy for Beginners, reaching the global number 1 position in October 2009 with over 250,000 downloads across the world.

From 1996-2000 Marianne chaired the National Forum for Values in Education and The Community. This group was responsible for the values that inform the National Curriculum.  Every year almost 15,000 people take part in courses offered by the Department for Continuing Education, making Oxford University one of the largest providers of continuing education in the UK.
