Oxford at JISC10

conferencebadgeA fine conference in London today with many colleagues from OUCS and presentations from  several projects including those from LTG. The session I was in ran over time with three presenters- not sure how it would have run with the planned five!

Anyhow, it all went well, I was able to distribute some of our shiny Oxford OER and I only had the one slide.  Questions as expected, about licenses, depth and quality. I managed to touch on podcasting as academic publishing and the ‘openness continuum’. Much talk at the conference about digital literacy- ’bout time. Also much mention of the Digital Economy bill, so perhaps now we’ll get round to extending discusssions about digital literacy beyond ‘how to search’ and towards ‘ how to understand the licence on what you find’.
