Chart showing percentage of podcast accesses by country

The number of podcasts published into iTunesU continues to grow each month.    If you are wondering, as we do,  who is listening to them, it is possible to use the data supplied by Apple and the size of our logfiles over time to see  that the volume  and spread of downloads  is also growing.  Charting  accesses by country supports a hypothesis that Apple’s launch of iTunes U into the Chinese educational sector at the start of September 2010 led to a rush of interest in  material  from Oxford . This growth  is 6 times larger than at our European launch two years earlier.

There is also something interesting going on in Panama.
