What is the use of a book, without pictures or conversations?

Said Alice.

I was reminded of this question on Thursday as I listened to three Oxford academic colleagues describing their experience of podcasting in iTunes U.

Emma Smith, Peter MacDonald and Marianne Talbot each took quite different angles, but each described how the production and dissemination of their research via podcasts aligned with their  academic practice in writing and publication.

Really, really interesting. The recordings of these talks at our Ripple event  ‘  Keeping the Door Open’  will be available soon. Watch this space.
