For successful OER consider authorship and authority and make yourself discoverable. Although the perceived advantage of OER is that it can be used in any context, information of attribution is key to a users ability to evaluate the content. Oxford research indicates that teachers prefer materials from academic colleagues with an established research reputation in the topic and students want to find out more about who wrote it. How will your readers find you?
