knowledge that matters

It’s been another busy year for the IT teachers in IT services.

The University is commited to developing all staff to enhance their effectiveness, and to ensuring that undergraduate and postgraduate students are fully equipped for the opportunities available to them.

3513  people from across the collegiate university  attened courses in the IT Learning programme this year.

This is an increase of 7% on last year.  Most of them attended  2 courses each.  Our course booking system processed 17224 transactions  which resulted in 7463 bums on seats. We held more than 1,000 people on waiting lists while we worked to find the right match of time, place and topic for them.

Our courses are open to all within the university and to wider audiences online.

3,592 people looked at our course materials online. 30% of those were from outside Oxford.

Once again our largest groups of users are postgrad students, particularly those from  the Medical Sciences and Social Sciences Divisions.

In response to departmental requests we ran 34 ‘closed’ courses for specific groups.
