Celebrate Digital Innovation: The Annual OxTALENT Awards
It’s that time of year again, time to announce the OxTALENT 2014 competition. Each year we give the OxTALENT awards to staff and students who have been innovative and talented in their use of technology to enhance teaching and learning. Read about the winners from previous years.
This year we are inviting entries in these categories:
- Use of WebLearn to support teaching, learning, or outreach
- Apps and mobile technologies
- Student IT innovation
- Videos made by students in support of their learning
- Conference posters
- Interactive infographics
The closing date for entries is Friday 16th May 2014
Entry is easy, and involves very little work – usually, just sending us details of something you have done already. This is your opportunity to get your creativity recognised, so why not enter now?
Awards can be given either to individuals or to teams. Applications relating to the development of more effective links between teaching and research or to improving impact and outreach will be particularly welcome.
We also give prizes ( and this is the best bit) for examples of innovation and good practice in other uses of technology in pedagogy, open educational practice, outreach, social media, cool digitisations and general creativity in this space. So if you know of an academic or a student who has done something out of the ordinary, let us know firstname.lastname@example.org.
There is a cool prize for the winner in each category, I’ll present the awards at our annual Red Carpet ceremony on the 18th June.
