The Research Support team provides specialist advice and practical support in a number of domains identified as priorities in the IT Services strategic plan for research:
- Agent-based modelling is a technique for performing in silico experimentation, to explore, explain and discuss complex systems in ecology, economics, anthropology, zoology and many other subjects
- Data modelling and migration
- Digital Humanities
- Intellectual property
- Research data management
- Software selection
- Software sustainability
- Text encoding, analysis and digitization
In these domains we actively engage the research community by teaching courses, giving presentations for research groups, offering hands-on practical help, leading IT-related project work packages, and developing, maintaining and support web resources.
