In February we have…

Dissemination

Community Contributed Collection software (CoCoCo)

  • started further development of the open-source CoCoCo software which facilitates the online collection of digital objects

Exemplar community collection

  • started to work with the exemplar project – Project Woruldhord – which will run a community collection based around the study and teaching of Anglo-Saxon history and literature and language

In addition to planned work, we have assisted the JISC Funding Board reach their decision about the rapid user innovation strand of the Developing Community Content call, and started to work with the Europeana online service.

Next month we will…

  • continue planning for the 4 free training workshops to be held in Oxford and around the UK. First dates set for:
    • Weds 5th May 2010, Oxford
    • Weds 26th May 2010, Oxford
  • publicise website and blog
  • continue the recruitment of the project officer
  • prepare RunCoCo contributions to the Beyond Borders conference and the JISC Conference
  • meet with some of the Europeana marketing and technical team
  • meet Chris Wild, from The Retroscope
  • start to write training documentation for dissemination at the training workshops
