ABSTRACT

It Happens Here is teaming up with Code4Rights to create a First Response App to help students respond to sexual violence in Oxford. The app will contain information and advice for survivors and supporters, making it as easy as possible for people to respond to rape, assault, harassment and other forms of sexual violence. Most importantly, the app will be created by the women of Oxford, engaging a non-traditionally involved group in the creation of technology that will have a huge impact upon the local community. Women will brainstorm the app, code it, and test-drive it, before it is released into the community for broader use.
